Shoulder Pads

Shoulder pads are an absolute necessity in lacrosse. Chest protection is a massive issue, especially when you reach the point when players shoot over 80 miles per hour regularly. There are different types of shoulder pads, the most popular being a shoulder liner as it is the least restrictive. The liner only really covers the chest, back, collarbones and shoulders. The larger, more classical version of shoulder protection is a bit more bulky and covers a greater area. These larger shoulder pads are more favourable to younger players as they will provide a greater level of protection, at the expense of a small amount of mobility. All players should wear shoulder pads, regardless of the level of play or ability and protection should be the key factor when purchasing any form of chest protection.
